About Arjuzanx
Translucent water, an emerald lake, a fine sandy beach… No, you are not dreaming, you are in Arjuzanx, in the middle of the Landes department, right near the Natural Park of Landes de Gascogne!
In this ideal green setting in the heart of the nature reserve of the same name, Arjuzanx is an idyllic place for swimming and enjoying nature. This former lignite mine has been reclaimed for swimming and offers exceptional water quality thanks to continuous supply of fresh water from several springs and groundwater. A wide range of activities are available at the lake: swimming, mountain biking, hiking around the lake, fishing and several activities at the water sports centre (paddle board, pedal boat and canoe rentals).
