About Sanguinet
The village of Sanguinet is well-loved for its huge lake, crystal clear water and calm atmosphere as well as for its many water activities: sailing, canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing. The surrounding area is also perfect for walks and bike rides. Sanguinet has a festive and friendly feel that comes to life on Saturday evenings during the summer, on market days and during the Jazz festival. Even beyond their convenient geographical location (25 minutes from Arcachon Bay, 30 minutes from the Dune of Pyla, 25 minutes from the ocean beaches of Biscarrosse), the beautiful beaches of Caton and Le Pavillon have enough charm on their own to attract visitors from near and far. The Communauté de Commune, the Mairie and the Association des Acteurs Économiques de Sanguinet have joined forces with a common goal: to revitalize Sanguinet?s market square and town center.
Together, they are offering you a brand-new, unique and inviting event: the Apéros-Goûters.
They will be held once a month, on Friday evenings from 4.30pm on the Place du Marché, until midnight.
It's a great way to meet up with your favorite merchants, who'll be serving up sweet and savory treats.
And because you can't have an aperitif without music, we'll also provide musical entertainment.
The apéro-goûter is back! Your retailers invite you to join them for a moment of relaxation and indulgence.

Journée consacrée à l'archéologie
Plongez au cœur du passé et laissez-vous surprendre par les collections enfouis sous le lac. À l’occasion de cette journée exceptionnelle, le Musée du Lac de Sanguinet vous ouvre ses portes pour une immersion fascinante dans le monde de l’archéologie subaquatique.
Organisées par l’Inrap (l’Institut national de recherche archéologique préventive) sous l’égide du ministère de la Culture, les Journées européennes de l'archéologie encouragent le partage des savoirs entre les professionnels de l’archéologie et les citoyens. Elles valorisent et rendent l'archéologie visible.

Traditional Saint-Sauveur celebrations
Sanguinet will be celebrating for 3 days!
The festivities kick off with a vin d?honneur hosted by the town hall, at 7pm in Place de la Mairie. Young and old alike can join in the funfair set up at Espace Gemme from Friday to Sunday evening.
Funfair, duck fishing, dances, entertainment, bandas, bodégas, fireworks, mass, blessing of the boats... there's something for all ages and tastes.
