About

Located north of Sanguinet lake, Caton beach is located in a protected natural area in the heart of the Landes forest. The lake’s calm and clear shallow water provides a safe place for the entire family to swim. Pine trees provide welcome shade for the beautiful fine sand beach during the summer. You will find toilets, a snack bar, picnic area, and bike parking right nearby. The beach is wheelchair accessible and is lifeguarded during the summer holidays.

Good to know:

History buffs will not want to miss the Lac Museum in the village. There they can discover the rich history of Sanguinet lake and see archaeological remains and canoes dating back to the iron age that were found in the lake.
