Discover Léon beach on the southern side of the lake. Nestled in a lush natural setting spanning 340 hectares, Léon lake is less touristy than Biscarrosse, Hossegor and Soustons lakes. This haven of peace is perfect for swimming, with a higher water temperatures than at the ocean. You can enjoy a picnic area nearby, showers / toilets, a playground for children, bike paths and hiking trails. Dogs are allowed.

Leon lake is very popular with nature lovers.
It is home to a great diversity of fauna and flora and a rich ecosystem that led to the creation of the Courant d’Huchet Nature Reserve. Admire numerous bird species, insects and especially the famous European pond turtle.
