About
With a vast beach bordered by a dune, Ondres beach offers a panoramic view of the Basque country and the Pyrenees and extends between Tarnos and Labenne in desert-like environment. There are a few shops nearby (snacks, restaurants, ice cream parlours) and showers and toilets are available on the dune. Dogs are tolerated on the northern part of the beach, outside lifeguarded areas. Ondres is bin-free in order to protect the environment. You can reach the beach by foot or bike (via the bike path connecting the beach to the city centre) and by car.
To do:
Take a bike ride through the Landes forest to explore the surrounding area and visit other nearby resorts like Tarnos and Hossegor.
